Questions

How does usRSUP earn?
The vault stakes all deposited RSUP and compounds every reward back into staked RSUP. Instead of more tokens, each usRSUP becomes worth more RSUP over time (the share price). New rewards are added to the share price gradually over about 7 days, so the price rises smoothly and never jumps.
Is usRSUP the same as staking in the Unofficial Staker?
No. Under the hood the vault keeps its RSUP in the Unofficial Staker as one account, set to 100% compounding. But your usRSUP is a claim on the vault, not a position of your own in the Unofficial Staker. You can't move an Unofficial Staker position into usRSUP or redeem usRSUP there. To switch, withdraw from one and deposit into the other.
How do I get RSUP back?
Two ways:
  • Instantly on Curve: sell usRSUP in the usRSUP/RSUP pool at the market price, which is usually a little below the share price.
  • Scheduled, at the share price: request a withdrawal. Your usRSUP is burned and the RSUP owed is fixed right away, minus a small fee. The vault then unstakes it through the staking cooldown, which can only start every 3rd week and lasts 2 more. A request made in a cooldown week is usually claimable 2–3 weeks later; one made in between waits for the next cooldown week, 3–5 weeks in all. Requested RSUP no longer earns.
Where does the withdraw fee go?
Nothing goes to the developers. The fee is capped per request. A queued request's fee can go to whoever processes the withdrawal queue in the cooldown week, up to a cap per call. Fees of requests cooled right away, and anything above the cap, stay in the vault for the remaining holders.
Do usRSUP holders vote?
No. Holding usRSUP gives no voting power. The vault's stake only joins a vote once the other Unofficial Staker voters have reached a quorum among themselves, and then it votes with exactly their yes/no split. It never changes the split, though it can help the vote reach Resupply's quorum. (The owner can switch this off, and the owner's emergency function described below could also be used to vote.)
Who controls the vault?
Ownership is to be handed to Resupply governance (Resupply Core) after launch. The owner can adjust the withdraw fee, its per-request cap and the keeper reward cap within fixed limits, set the Curve pool, pause new deposits, and change the vote-boost settings. It also has an emergency function that can make any call from the vault, so holders trust the owner with the vault's funds.
Is usRSUP audited?
Not officially, no. usRSUP has only been audited by AI tools. usRSUP is a community project that earns nothing for the developers. If you would like to sponsor an audit, please reach out to Tommy Genesis!
